THE STEPS OF A BLÜ PROJECT
01: DEFINING NEEDS AND DEVELOPING IDEAS
A first meeting between the client(s) and the architectural technologist is essential in order to explore ideas, define needs, understand expectations, discuss options and validate the feasibility of the desired project. This meeting serves as the foundation for the project and makes it possible to collect the necessary information and answer any question(s). This consultation is free of charge!
02: SERVICE OFFER
Before going any further, a service offer based on the needs identified during the initial meeting is sent to the client for approval. The offer contains the list of inclusions, the fixed or hourly price (depending on the project), as well as the payment methods.
03: PRELIMINARY PLANS
Then comes the most awaited part, the preliminary drawings! Your architectural technologist will work to conceptualize a customized plan taking into account your specific needs. It is with these plans that you will have a first glimpse of what your project will look like. Thanks to her expertise, the technologist will be able to make recommendations. She will explain the constraints if there are any and advise you on how to achieve the best results. She will specify the areas where a particular attention should be paid to ensure a quality result that will satisfy you.
04: ADJUSTMENT AND MODIFICATIONS
After seeing the ideas that have been floating in your mind take shape on paper, it is completely normal that certain adjustments and modifications become necessary to shape a result worthy of you! Listening to your needs and your choices, the technologist will be able to offer solutions and alternatives to modify the plans until you are satisfied. In some cases, these discussions will take place by telephone or email while in others, they will be the subject of face-to-face meetings. Regardless of the communication method chosen, the objective remains the same: coming up with a plan you love that meets your needs.
05: CONSTRUCTION PLANS
The approved preliminary plans will be transformed into complete construction plans including, if necessary, a typical wall section, specific notes and construction details.
Copies of plans duly sealed and signed by a member of the Ordre des Technologues Professionnels du Québec will be given to you so that you can apply for a permit to the planning department of your municipality and carry out your project signed Blü Architecture.
